●“Shakuyakukanzoto” is a prescription found in Chinese classic medical publications “Shokanron.” This medicine is also called “Kyojoto.”

●It is effective for the treatment of acute, painful muscle spasms or leg cramps and other similar conditions.

Ingredients

The daily dose of 3 packets (1.5 g/packet) contains 1,450mg of shakuyakukanzoto extract from the following mixed crude drugs;
Peony root 3.0 g, Glycyrrhiza 3.0 g.
As inactive ingredients, this medicine contains Hydroxypropylcellulose, and Lactose.

Due to this medicine's use of extract from natural ingredients (crude drugs), there may be slight color variations between granules.

Indications

This medicine can be used regardless of physical strength and is indicated to the following symptoms with pain associated with sudden muscle spasm: Cramps in the calves, muscle spasm, abdominal pain, and low back pain.

Dosage and administration

Take the following dosages 3 times a day with water or warm water before or between meals.
Adults (15 years and over) - 1 packet
14 - 7 years - 2/3 packet
6 - 4 years - 1/2 packet
4 - 2 years - 1/3 packet
Less than 2 years - 1/4 packet

(1) When allowing children to take the medicine, a guardian must be present to watch and tell such them how to take it.
(2) For infants under 1 year old, treatment by a physician should be prioritized and, when only necessary, allow them to take the medicine.

Precautions for use

1. This product should not be taken in the following persons.
(1) (Don't give this medicine to) children under 3 month of age.
(2) Persons diagnosed as having the following: Heart disease.

(4) Persons with the following symptoms: Edema.
(5) Persons diagnosed as having the following: Hypertension, kidney disease.
2. If the following symptoms are observed after taking this drug, these may be adverse reactions, so immediately discontinue the use of this drug, and show this document to your physician, pharmacist, or registered salesperson for a consultation.
The following serious symptoms may occur in rare cases, immediately seek medical aid.

Interstitial pneumonia: Shortness and/or difficulties of breath when go upstairs or overwork, sudden dry cough and/or fever and it continuance. Pseudoaldosteronism, myopathy: In addition to listlessness, numbness, stretched feeling, and stiffness of hands and feet, feeling of weakness and muscular pain will appear and gradually progress.
Congestive heart failure, ventricular tachycardia: Whole body tiredness, palpitations, shortness of breath, chest discomfort, chest pain, dizziness and faint may appear. Hepatic function failure: Symptoms, such as fever, itching, rash, jaundice (yellowing of skin and white of eyes), brown urine, general malaise, loss of appetite, etc. may occur.
3. When symptoms do not improve even after taking the medicine for about 5 - 6 times, stop taking this medicine and consult a physician, pharmacist or registered salesperson, being sure to take this instruction leaflet with you.
