●“Orengedokuto” is a herbal medicine that was first listed in “Chugoho,” a Chinese medical book that is regarded as a classic in the field of herbal medicines. It is used for the treatment of hyperemia, inflammation, agitation, and other associated symptoms.

●This medicine is suitable for people who look flushed and get irritated easily. It is effective in these people for stomatitis, eczema/dermatitis, gastritis, hangover, insomnia, nosebleed, and chi-no-michi-sho.

Ingredients

The daily dose of 3 packets (1.0 g/packet) contains 700 mg of Orengedokuto extract from the following mixed crude drugs;
Scutellaria Root 1.5 g, Gardenia Fruit 1.0 g, Coptis Rhizome 0.75 g, Phellodendron Bark 0.75 g.
As inactive ingredients, this medicine contains Hydroxypropylcellulose, and Lactose.

Due to this medicine's use of extract from natural ingredients (crude drugs), there may be slight color variations between granules.

Indications

Following symptoms in red-faced persons with moderate or more physical strength who get hot flashes easily and become irritated and restless easily: Nosebleed, insomnia, neurosis, gastritis, hangover, chi-no-michi-sho*, dizziness, palpitation, menopausal disorders, eczema/dermatitis, itching, and stomatitis.
*Chi-no-michi-sho is a generic term for neuropsychiatric symptoms such as anxiety and irritation, and physical symptoms due to fluctuation of female hormones caused by menstruation, pregnancy, childbirth, and menopause.

Dosage and administration

Take the following dosages 3 times a day with water or warm water before or between meals.
Adults (15 years and over) - 1 packet
14 - 7 years - 2/3 packet
6 - 4 years - 1/2 packet
4 - 2 years - 1/3 packet
Less than 2 years 1/4 packet

(1) When allowing children to take the medicine, a guardian must be present to watch and tell such them how to take it.
(2) For infants under 1 year old, treatment by a physician should be prioritized and, when only necessary, allow them to take the medicine.

2. If the following symptoms are observed after taking this drug, these may be adverse reactions, so immediately discontinue the use of this drug, and show this document to your physician, pharmacist, or registered salesperson for a consultation.
The following serious symptoms may occur in rare cases, immediately seek medical aid.
Symptom names: Symptoms
Interstitial pneumonia: Shortness and/or difficulties of breath when go upstairs or overwork, sudden dry cough and/or fever and it continuance.
Hepatic function failure: Symptoms, such as fever, itching, rash, jaundice (yellowing of skin and white of eyes), brown urine, general malaise, loss of appetite, etc. may occur.
Mesenteric phlebosclerosis: Abdominal pain, diarrhea, constipation, abdominal distension, etc. may occur repeatedly with long-term oral administration.
3. When symptoms do not improve even after taking the medicine for about 1 month (for 5 - 6 times if you take this medicine for Nosebleed, and hangover), stop taking this medicine and consult a physician, pharmacist or registered salesperson, being sure to take this instruction leaflet with you.
4. If you take this medicine for a long time, consult a physician, pharmacist, or registered salesperson.
